Questions, trouble, or a case that will not close
Write to info@dylansbv.nl and describe what happened. If something went wrong in a case, mention which case you were working on and what you had already struck out; that is usually enough to work out the rest.
The practice file
Every new detective starts with the practice file. It takes about three minutes and teaches the four things you need: reading an exhibit, striking a name, sweeping through a whole run of names, and taking a strike back. The real case unlocks once it is closed. You can call the guided tour back at any time from the menu.
My progress is gone
Progress lives only on your own device, so it does not travel between phones and it does not survive deleting the app or clearing your browser data. There is no backup we can restore for you.
The pen ran dry
A free pen holds 500 strikes. When the ink runs out the pen fills again by itself a quarter of an hour later, and that wait runs on the clock, so closing the app is a perfectly good way to spend it. You can also watch a short advertisement, or take the inspector's fountain pen with Premium Detective, which never runs dry. Taking a strike back returns its ink, and the practice file never costs any.
I bought Premium Detective and it is not there
Open the Premium Detective screen and use RESTORE PURCHASE. The purchase is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, so make sure you are signed in with the same one you bought it on.
Languages and reading comfort
The app follows your device language across English, Dutch, German and French, and you can pin one from the menu. Text size and the display mode are in the same menu, and every control carries a spoken label for VoiceOver and TalkBack.

Vragen, problemen, of een zaak die niet wil sluiten
Mail naar info@dylansbv.nl en beschrijf wat er gebeurde. Ging er iets mis in een zaak, noem dan om welke zaak het ging en wat je al had doorgestreept; daarmee komen we er meestal uit.
Het oefendossier
Elke nieuwe speurder begint met het oefendossier. Het duurt ongeveer drie minuten en leert je de vier dingen die je nodig hebt: een bewijsstuk lezen, een naam doorstrepen, in één veeg een hele reeks namen wegstrepen, en een streep terugnemen. De echte zaak gaat open zodra het gesloten is. De rondleiding kun je altijd opnieuw oproepen via het menu.
Mijn voortgang is weg
Je voortgang staat alleen op je eigen apparaat. Hij reist dus niet mee naar een andere telefoon en overleeft het niet als je de app verwijdert of je websitegegevens wist. Er is geen back-up die wij kunnen terugzetten.
Mijn pen is leeg
Een gratis pen gaat 500 strepen mee. Is de inkt op, dan vult de pen zichzelf een kwartier later weer helemaal, en die tijd loopt gewoon door, dus je mag de app ondertussen sluiten. Je kunt ook een korte advertentie bekijken, of met Premium Detective de vulpen van de inspecteur nemen, die nooit leegraakt. Een streep terugnemen geeft de inkt terug, en het oefendossier kost nooit iets.
Ik heb Premium Detective gekocht maar zie het niet
Open het scherm Premium Detective en gebruik AANKOOP HERSTELLEN. De aankoop hangt aan je App Store- of Google Play-account, dus zorg dat je met hetzelfde account bent aangemeld als waarmee je hem kocht.
Talen en leescomfort
De app volgt de taal van je apparaat in het Engels, Nederlands, Duits en Frans, en je kunt er zelf een vastzetten via het menu. Tekstgrootte en weergave staan in datzelfde menu, en elk element heeft een gesproken label voor VoiceOver en TalkBack.
